Linux/VNC のバックアップ(No.30)

VNCのインストール †

http://www.realvnc.com/download.html よりダウンロード(2003/06現在の最新版は3.3.7です)

VNCの起動、停止 †

起動 †

[xxxxxx@localhost xxxxxx]$ vncserver :1  (1はディスプレイNo.  port番号は580nになる)

You will require a password to access your desktops.

Password:
Verify:

New 'X' desktop is localhost.localdomain:1

Creating default startup script /home/xxxxxx/.vnc/xstartup
Starting applications specified in /home/xxxxxx/.vnc/xstartup
Log file is /home/xxxxxx/.vnc/localhost.localdomain:1.log

停止 †

vncserver -kill :1 （1はディスプレイNo）

VNCをサービス起動する。 †

↑

/etc/xinetd.d/vnc の作成 †

内容：

service vnc
{
	disable = no
	flags = REUSE
	socket_type = stream
	wait = no
	user = xxxxxx <- サービスを起動するUNIXのユーザID
	server = /usr/bin/Xvnc
	server_args = -inetd -query 192.168.10.3 -once -geometry 1024x768 -depth 16
	log_on_success += DURATION USERID
	log_on_failure += USERID
}

ここで

server_args = -inetd -query 192.168.10.3 -once -geometry 1024x768 -depth 16

の 192.168.10.3 はVNCServerを起動するノードです。

/etc/servicesの編集 †

/etc/services に

vnc	5901/tcp

を追加(vncは/etc/xinetd.d/vncのファイル名) <-これ重要！

/etc/X11/gdm/gdm.conf の編集 †

[xdmcp]
Enable=true
(↑GUI(ログイン)からできる。)
これだけではだめな場合

[security]
KillInitClients=false

とした。

最後に再起動すればOK!

xinetdの再起動 †

/sbin/service xinetd restart

Fedora7では †

Fedora7ではもとから入ってるVNCをxinetd経由でそのまま使いました。Fedora7では /etc/X11/gdm/gdm.conf ではなく、

/etc/gdm/custom.conf

の編集が必要でした。

/etc/gdm/custom.conf に

[daemon]
GtkModulesList=
AddGtkModules=false
RemoteGreeter=/usr/libexec/gdmgreeter

[security]
AllowRemoteRoot=true

[xdmcp]
Enable=true

などを追加しないとダメみたいです。

あ、そもそもFedora7にはデフォルトでxinetdが入らないので

yum install xinetd

しておきます。
